The Nerenberg Family

Well it took me 5 months (holy crap) to finally post these pictures. I had an amazing time with the beautiful Nerenberg family in Astoria, Oregon this past summer. Nate and Lillian have been wonderful friends for many years and it has been so exciting to watch their kids grow! Hope to see you guys soon.

Megan and Kyle's Rose City Comicon Wedding

What a weekend! I feel so incredibly fortunate to have the life I do. I met Megan and Kyle through an old college friend Lauren Dillard. Lauren had previously recommended my photo work to some other folks and I am grateful for her believing in me and my work! Megan and Kyle had previously said that they would not get married to each other until it was legal for all people to do so. The story was picked up by the Huffington Post and here is a link to the article. As an active LGBT ally myself for many years, Lauren connected us and thought it would be a good fit! Megan and Kyle were to be married at the 2015 Portland Rose City Comicon.

It was such a unique experience to be in the environment. People went all out and there were some incredible costumes. Overall the best part about the day was how kind and welcoming people were. There's something really special about the culture of people passionate about this kind of art. Here's is a link to an online gallery which includes all of the photos. Here are some of the best pics throughout the day!

Lisa and Eric

What a whirlwind of a weekend I had. The plan was simple. I'd drive from Rapid City, South Dakota to Denver, Colorado, spend the night with friend Emiko, fly to Portland at 5am, get picked up by my photo client, then get a ride to Scappoose for the photoshoot. Easy right? Haha oh man it was crazy, but totally worth it. Lisa was kind enough to pick me up from the airport and we had an awesome late afternoon photoshoot at my farm in Scappoose and the neighbor's farm as well. Our neighbor is Gary Bernet and he runs a pumpkin patch in the fall. Here's details for those interested: www.bernetfarms.com

Lisa, Eric and I had an awesome time and I am looking forward to their wedding in June! It will be the first Oregon wedding of 2016, and marking our return to Oregon! Hooray!

Sarah and Mason Wedding

It was high time for my second official South Dakota, mid-western wedding!!! YAHOOO! Sarah found my humble advertisement on craigslist of all places! As with many other experiences, I have found Rapid CIty to have a small-town, everybody-knows-everybody, friendly-neighbors kind of place. It turned out that Sarah actually shared a place of part-time employment as my girlfriend Naomi at an Italian restaurant!

Sarah's brother Nehemiah Larimer tragically passed away earlier this year in a traffic accident. Nehemiah had attended Stevens High school where I work as well. A wonderful and active young man he was. He touched so many lives with his kind heart and warm smile. Although he was missed, his presence was felt by everyone there. I am so incredibly grateful to have had this experience here in the Black Hills. We had a beautiful day, a wonderful ceremony, and it went off without a hitch! Thanks a million for this opportunity Sarah and Mason

Reshell & Jimmy Wedding

I have known Reshell most of my entire life! We have many friends in common and share the history of growing up in Scappoose! So of course I jumped at the chance to photograph her wedding. It was help at Jimmy's grandfather's house on a beautiful piece of land between Scappoose and Portland. There was great food, drinks, dancing, and great times all around. Here are the final photos from that wonderful day! Thanks a million you two. -Luke
